Risk & Compliance Officer: An experienced Risk & Compliance Officer is required to monitor and manage the Company Risk management and Compliance framework, working closely with the business and interacting with many stakeholders across the business. The Risk & Compliance Officer will work closely with the finance team and finance director in this well-established highly-respected Insurance company.

Responsibilities:

Risk Management
*Develop and maintain the Company risk management framework and ensure appropriate governance;
*Own, develop and maintain the Company risk register and ensure it is reviewed regularly by the executive team and the Risk committee;
*Own, develop and maintain the Company ORSA and ensure it is reviewed regularly by the senior management team and the Risk committee;
*Develop and maintain the Company risk appetite in conjunction with the executive team and the Board; and
*Produce monthly reports for management and quarterly reports for the Risk committee.

Compliance
*Develop and maintain the Company compliance framework and ensure appropriate governance;
*Ensure the Company complies with all the Insurance regulatory requirements;
*Take ownership for the Company regulatory training and competence programme;
*Own, maintain and develop the Company breach, complaints and incident reporting;
*Own, maintain and develop the Company compliance policies and procedures; and
*Work with the internal audit function to agree and manage the annual compliance and audit plan; and
*Produce monthly reports for management and quarterly reports for the Risk committee.

Skills & Experience:
*Good knowledge of the FCA and PRA insurance regulatory framework including a good understanding of Solvency II principles
*A record of developing a risk management framework.
*3 - 5 years UK experience in risk and compliance within the Insurance industry
*A solid understanding of risk and compliance issues and regulatory requirements within the insurance industry
*Good stakeholder management skills through both verbal and written communication
*Graduate/ Post Graduate education
*ICA Diploma in Governance, Risk and compliance or equivalent; and Diploma in Insurance CII
*Excellent attention to detail
*Proven ability to organise and prioritise multiple tasks to successfully meet deadlines and quickly understand and apply new subject matter
*Experience of producing Board level written reports.

Desirable
*Experience of reviewing and analysing operational processes and controls
*Experience in leadership, in particular delivering feedback effectively and constructively
