Our client is a unique entity holding a deeply influential place in the global economy. This position will monitor members' compliance with regulations and standards on a daily basis Working closely with the General Counsel and Compliance Officer, to manage and develop the compliance programme across the spectrum of the organisation's work including on-boarding and daily monitoring The Job Holder will support the Compliance Officer in monitoring of industry regulatory changes and developing programmes to meet regulatory requirements for the London market. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Providing a day to day compliance function; * Supporting the General Counsel and Compliance Officer on the strategic regulatory development of the Association; * Providing the lead in processing Membership applications, Membership Reviews and dealing with day to day membership queries; * Coordinate the support, set up and operation of the Membership Committee; * In conjunction with the Marketing Executive and Office Coordinator, develop and maintain the contact database * In conjunction with the Compliance Officer and Office Coordinator, manage Compliance and Membership related workflow processes * Implementing the due diligence processes for Members and Associates; * Monitoring regulatory changes * Dissemination of information on regulatory changes to Members, Associates * Drafting responses to regulators as necessary; * Ad-hoc reviewing and drafting of policies; * Development and running of ad hoc projects as directed by the Management. DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE * Bachelor's degree or equivalent higher education is desired, law would be preferable by not essential; * Minimum 2+ years compliance with a focus on due diligence/know your customer practices; * Basic understanding of European regulations; * Superior attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and to change priorities quickly; * Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate information to various audiences; * Must be able to maintain composure under pressure and manage unforeseen situations; * Proven ability to work independently and to handle a high volume, fast-paced environment; * Advanced skills with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe packages; * Self-motivated with the ability to work proactively and achieve results without close supervision; * Ability to adapt to a flexible and varying work schedule and be accessible after hours as needed.
