Personnel Selection is delighted to be working with a highly respected Bognor Regis company in their quest to find a first class Sales Manager. the role is varied and rthe company is looking for someone who can ensure that targets and other objectives set are achieved.

The Sales Manager should have a successful track record of achieving targets and increasing sales. The role will involve the effective day-to-day running of the sales team which includes managing and developing the team. This includes one-on-one sessions with team members; motivating and ensuring targets are met or exceeded. The successful Sales Manager will possess the ability to implement new strategies and processes, ensuring growth of key accounts. The role will involve dealing with new clients as well as existing clients on a regular basis. The ideal candidate must have a confident telephone manner, be able to close business over the telephone, and have the ability to negotiate at all levels. Candidates must be a self-motivated and able to work as part of a team in a positive way, as well as having the skills and experience to achieve sales targets.

This position would suit someone who has plenty of energy and drive and enjoys working with a variety of people.

Key Sills

  • Highly passionate & has proven experience in leading and driving sales forward and hitting daily/monthly/yearly targets

  • Ambitious, with a desire to succeed with a proven ability in generating new business.

  • Understands basic finance and can define good profit v’s bad profit.

  • Leadership qualities to lead/manage/coach/motivate a Sales team of 8 to meet and exceed targets in order to grow revenue.

  • Industry knowledge preferred (packaging/retail/B2B)

  • Excellent negotiator able to follow up on estimates and close sales.

  • Ability & desire to work closely with other dept. heads on strategy & execution.

  • Proven experience of achieving individual revenue and key performance targets

Accountabilities:

  • Ensure revenue exceeds targets set & agreed

  • Ensure GP% is maintained at level agreed

  • Ensure agreed new customer conversion numbers are achieved in each segment

  • Ensure all sales team is constantly learning new techniques and refining skillset to develop into A players

  • Identify and act on any customer leakage

  • Work closely with marketing on campaigns and new product ideas
