Due to a period of impressive growth and expansion, my forward thinking and unique client based in Folkestone is looking to recruit a dynamic and well educated Assistant Finance Manager. Reporting to the Finance Manager and working to specific deadlines you will play a hugely important role in the continued success of this company.

Its facilities, culture and professionalism would not be out of place in the heart of London, with emphasis on staff retention, training and development. So much so that the current Finance Manager would like a candidate to have aspirations for her role.

In this newly created role you will have the opportunity to provide financial support to the finance manager whilst producing reports, monitoring and reviewing all sales and purchase ledger, reviewing nominal transactions, bank and credit card reconciliations and any other ad hoc duties. This position will involve closely working with and mentoring a junior colleague and the wider management function.

It is imperative that you have strong excel skills and the ability to understand spreadsheets as this role will involve reporting and presenting to senior management. A working knowledge of Sage Line 50 would be beneficial as is the attitude to succeed and progress. This role is all about attention to detail and the ability to manage your workload. You must be articulate, literate and numerate with the ability to understand key drivers and an analytical mind-set.
