Digital Marketing / eCommerce Executive - Croydon based - £25K-£30K

Our client is a premium high street retailer known for its eastern inspired range of furniture and accessories, with a successful eCommerce channel and London flagship store.

They have a current requirement for an experienced eCommerce specialist, to join their small marketing and web development team.

Reporting to the Ecommerce Manager your role will be to take ownership of, and manage our digital marketing initiatives and help out with the day-to-day management of the website. You will be responsible for ensuring the Lombok brand is effectively communicated across all channels and you will look for new opportunities to acquire more traffic to the site and drive sales.

Ideally you'll have experience working for a mid-upper end retail brand, furniture / home interiors experience would of course be excellent. If you don't have this direct experience, but have a real interest in the home living / furnishings sector, then that would be an advantage. Full job details follow;

Responsibilities

Managing SEO

  • Responsible for the delivery of search engine optimisation strategies
  • Co-ordinating the production of on-page SEO techniques as well as being involved in the hands-on production
  • Liaise with Paraspar to prioritise and push through technical SEO requirements which meet our optimisation strategies
  • Building a full set of report templates which can be used internally that provide clear visibility for key metrics
  • Remain current on the latest industry trends while demonstrating excellent SEO knowledge on guidelines and search algorithm changes
  • Take learnings from paid search and adapt any insights in organic strategies
  • Share learnings with the Ecommerce team on the most up-to-date on-page optimisation techniques
  • Hitting optimisation and workload targets on a quarterly basis

Managing PPC

  • Manage the day to day paid search campaigns across Google
  • Develop media plan and execute strategy.
  • Work with internal partners to identify and confirm KPIs.
  • Optimize campaigns based on the identified KPIs
  • Adapt media plan and media brief into an SEM strategy.
  • Work with Google and other publishers to help identify optimization opportunities and industry trends.
  • Plan display “GDN” media strategy including media mix, demographics, ads, etc.
  • Conduct keyword research and develop ad copy for AdWords
  • Work with internal partners to obtain appropriate assets for campaign execution
  • Responsible for day to day campaign execution and optimization for display advertising campaigns.
  • Interpret campaign performance and provide insightful analysis.
  • Draw relevant search materials from other customer research resources, including social media listening tools, marketing intelligence reports, and more.

Coordinating Website Content

  • Day-to-day management of the website including uploading content and making improvements.
  • Support the Ecommerce Manager with large development projects, ensuring all elements are properly implemented.
  • Always improving how our products are displayed on our website, ensuring all information is correct and always up to date.
  • Working closely with the Online Content Assistant to devise and maintain a robust content schedule, ensuring online activity co-ordinates with offline to support the brand.
  • Work with the Ecommerce team to ensure all web content & online activity is optimized for organic search.

Customer Journey

  • Monitoring customer journeys gaining insight for opportunities and producing ongoing improvements to the user experience.
  • Collate customer feedback regarding their online experience from relevant feedback forums we use such as abandoned basket reports, Feefo, Live Chat, Trello and Surveys.
  • Provide monthly, categorised reports presenting the findings and suggest amends to processes and website content in order to improve customer experience as a result.
  • Become the resident Feefo expert helping us to implement new feedback initiatives to help improve our Feefo feedback score.

Improving Conversions & Usability

  • Using digital marketing tools to acquire traffic, retarget and increase conversion rate. Responsibly managing budgets and performance.
  • Ensure site content is fully optimized for usability and to drive conversions across all devices.
  • Monitoring customer journeys gaining insight for opportunities and producing ongoing improvements to the user experience.
  • Awareness of competitor behaviour, recording and communicating new ideas for Lombok.
  • Using Google Analytics to analyse content you’ve created, learn what works for Lombok and share findings.
  • Work with the Ecommerce Manager on weekly and monthly reports analysing content and usability.
