A business that's going places
As a business, we’re ambitious and driven; with the aim of becoming the UK's leading OmniChannel Community Gaming Club. We’re putting an emphasis on technology as we develop the business and we’re really excited about the potential that has to transform the experience for our customers.
Atmosphere Making as part of a brilliant community.
The crucial difference between being an Assistant Manager at Gala and being a manager anywhere else? The opportunity to excel at your role as an atmosphere maker, alongside your management responsibilities. Our clubs really are communities; welcoming, inclusive and vibrant. No two clubs are the same: and that’s because each of them are very much a part of their own local community, something we’re really keen to engage in - fundraising for local charities, supporting local people - generally getting involved; always making a difference.
That sense of involvement is true of your role in the club too: this is no back-office role. Our managers are out on the floor, delivering the outstanding customer experience we pride ourselves on providing day in, day out; creating Bingo’s buzziest community.
Because that’s what we do.
Some of the best bits of the Assistant Manager role at Gala are the things you’d never be able to include on the job description. The customers who quickly become friends. The number of times you make someone’s day. The regulars who sing you Happy Birthday after a long shift, the new-to-Bingo customers who tell you howmuch they’ve enjoyed the night. The team around you, who are more like family than colleagues. None of that’s in the job description, but it is exactly what is brilliant about being a manager at Gala.
It’s a full-on, varied management role in a fast-paced and ambitious business, where no two days, clubs or customers are the same, and because of this, you’ll need to be resilient and persistent, flexible and adaptable, with an attitude of being fully committed to getting the job done and ready and able to tackle anything that comes your way. You’ll need to be able to both delegate - managing through your team, and be hands on whenever is required. This is definitely no back office management role!
We can guarantee you’ll learn a lot, challenge yourself, develop your skills and work as part of a fantastic team - but we can’t guarantee exactly what our people will do to make your day - we just know they will.
We’re looking for bright people interested in a bright future, because we see our Assistant Managers as our Deputy Managers and General Managers of the future.
With this in mind, we offer excellent training and development programmes to helpyou become the very best manager you can be. The opportunities here are endless.
