Job Role - Assistant Manager - Residential Services

Location - Bedfordshire

Salary - £23,000 - £25,000 Negotiable DOE

Job Environment - Children's Residential Home

Our prestigious client based in the Bedfordshire area is looking for an Assistant Manager to work alongside their Home Manager within a specialist therapeutic service providing care and support for children/young people throughout the UK.

You will be responsible for managing:

  • Resources - recruitment, role allocation, staff hours and annual leave, payroll, monitoring staff, inventory
  • Finance - budgetary control
  • Service - statutory requirements, admission and discharge, risk assessments, develop and maintain relationships with parents/other family members/social workers/school staff
  • People - leadership, regular supervision, staff meetings, staff well-being, disputes (disciplinary, capability, grievance and appeal procedures)

Qualifications and Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years experience (in the last 5 years) in a position relevant to the residential care of children and young people
  • At least 1 years experience in a role that requires the supervision and management of staff working in a care role
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or a qualification which is considered to be the equivalent
  • QCF 3
  • Driving License
