Service Manager / Area Manager - Children’s Services - Residential - North Region

Dove Resourcing is working in partnership with an established and growing children’s services provider to support them in their search for an experienced Service Manager to oversee their children’s services which spans across the North of the UK including Yorkshire and areas around Manchester.

The children’s services include a number of residential children’s homes and also family assessment services - having extensive operational experience of managing residential childcare services is pivotal.

The successful applicant will be expected to oversee the running of all children services - supporting the registered managers and ensuring all homes are running in accordance with company expectations. You will also be expected to bring ideas for future development and work closely with the director towards expansion of the company in the North West area in particular.

As the Service Manager you will be expected to;

  • Oversee running of both residential childcare homes predominantly EBD services as well as overseeing family assessment units.
  • Implement quality driven ethos and ensure this filters across the whole service.
  • Be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and requirements and assisting the Registered Managers
  • Liaise with the managing director to help formulate strategies for improvement and development within the organisation.

This is a position for an experienced service manager or operations manager - it is absolutely essential that applicants have experience of managing multiple sites and working at an operational level.

To be considered you must have an extensive track record of achieving excellent results with Ofsted. Have significant experience at either service manager, operations manager or area manager level within residential childcare.

This is an organisation that really values innovation and we are looking for an individual who has the ambition to help develop the services further.

To be considered you must hold a Level 5 diploma in Children and young people workforce or equivalent.

All applicants must be able to drive, this region does span across the Yorkshire & Lancashire area so extensive travel is a requirement.

Salary will be subject to experience but will likely be in the vicinity of £40-45k.
