We require committed and enthusiastic individuals with who have experience within SEN and EBD educational establishments for a PSHE teaching position starting as soon as possible, temporary in the first instance and permanent for the right fit.
You will be the PSHE Teacher to the pupils in KS3 and 4 to GCSE level. The school are looking to fill the role with a teacher who show the passion and tenacity needed to make a real difference, having the ability to make RE, Citizenship and PSHE interesting and relevant to their pupils.
The school is well led and managed. It specialises in supporting learners who have various difficulties including autistic spectrum disorder and moderate or severe learning difficulties. They apply a holistic approach to learning, and work closely with speech therapists, the school doctor and nurse, as well as outside agencies to enable all children and young people with special educational needs to access the curriculum.
Pupils make good progress and achieve well across a wide range of subjects. They enjoy a supportive environment and have strong, respectful relationships with the team. You will be working children who can be hard to engage and have a variety of needs.
The ideal candidate would have experience of teaching or working with SEN students and a passion for supporting and encouraging students through a whole child approach.
