An electro-mechanical engineering business are recruiting a Supply Chain Manager. Applicants need end-to-end supply chain management experience in a production manufacturing environment, leadership attributes, and ability to develop strategy.

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for leading all procurement and supply chain related activities, enjoying ownership over; procurement, materials management, stores and despatch. The Supply Chain Manager will develop strategies and processes to ensure the efficient transfer of materials through the business, and out to customer.

Specific duties of the Supply Chain Manager include:

1. Manage strategic and tactical procurement - effective vendor management and cost savings
2. Manage inventory control and materials management strategies
4. Oversee Stores / Despatch area
5. Provide motivation and leadership to; purchasing, stores and despatch teams
6. Manage suppliers including performance analysis, capacities, audits and risk assessment
7. Manage Material obsolescence
8. Implement new or improved supply chain process
9. Improve / Maintain export processes
10. Contribute to an environment of process improvement and LEAN thinking

Supply Chain Manager applicants should meet the following criteria:

1. Proven end-to-end Supply Chain Management experience within a production manufacturing environment
2. Excellent leadership and management abilities
3. The ability to cultivate excellent relationships with stakeholders
4. MRP experience, or strong IT literacy
5. The ability to implement new processes and systems
