Job Description

Aerospace engineering service provider has a new requirement to take on a junior/graduate level stress engineer for an ongoing project. This is a brilliant opportunity for any candidate or graduate with limited experience and hunger to broaden their palette of skills to join a flourishing team of high calibre engineers with a huge amount of industry skill, expertise and specialization. The company ethos is built on bringing success to the next generation of engineers and safeguarding the skill set of the industry.

On a day to day basis you will be seconded to the lead stress engineer and will be expected to help perform stress analysis of structures and provide input and feedback on how processes and methods could be improved. You will have a solid grounding in finite element modelling skills and classical analysis techniques. You will also be able perform preliminary and final stress analyses and fatigue assessment. You must be able to work on your own initiative but also must possess a strong team player ethic.

Key Skills/Criteria

-On the job experience with classical and finite element stress analysis

-FEMAP and NASTRAN with experience in Matlab and/or MathCAD

-BS or MS in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering

-Familiarity with flight requirements for structural analysis, fatigue & fracture analysis

-Must have current entitlement to work in the UK

£20-25 P/h D.O.E

12 month contract with potential for extension
