An established family run manufacturing company based in South East London are searching for an experience Purchasing & Production Manager to join them. You would be working closely with the owners of the company and be responsible for all material and subcontract procurement, along with taking on some responsibility of managing the production process.

We are looking to speak with candidates who have experience managing all material procurement within a manufacturing environment, who also have a production background and would be comfortable overseeing the whole end to end process.

Role Responsibilities

Be responsible for all material and subcontract procurement

Take responsibility of the production team, overseeing the whole end to end process

Purchase raw materials for the factory

Negotiate terms and prices with suppliers

Manage stock levels of finished goods bought in for resale side of the business

Maintain relationships with current supply base

Build relationships with the whole production team

Work closely with the owners of the business, supporting them with specific projects as and when required

Take on projects (e.g. CAPEX sourcing projects or improve a specific area of the business)

Develop procurement strategy and drive efficiencies across the business

Effectively analyse data on Excel

Experience Required:

Had experience managing full procurement process

Experience dealing with both raw materials (e.g. sheet metal) and subcontract suppliers

Experience within a production role, with an in depth knowledge of manufacturing processes

Have a very analytical thought process

Advanced excel skills, capable of effectively analysing data
