Brand new Children’s Service based in Hereford, Herefordshire (though you may be required to perform duties at our other services within the vicinity as and when required)

Salary from £18,000 - £20,000 per annum (depending on experience)
37.5 hours per week, permanent
Due to the location of the service and the nature of the role, a full driving licence is required

Based in Hereford, we provide exceptional care for Young People with varied interests and requirements, so each person is respected and valued as an individual, with tailored programmes to address the specific and changing needs of the individual. We pride ourselves on providing a safe, warm and nurturing environment with a high standard of care and accommodation for our Young People, ensuring of an excellent delivery of care.
Due to expansion, we have a one of a kind opportunity for a Caretaker / Maintenance Operative to join our aspirational team on a permanent basis. We are looking for a committed individual with previous experience of proving efficient and effective caretaking and maintenance support, including ensuring the security and general surrounding areas are maintained to a high standard. Whilst your base would be our Hereford service, there will be times when you will be required to travel to some of our other services within a commutable distance, therefore a driving licence is essential.
An overview of some of the duties and responsibilities will include:
• Ensuring heating and light fittings are efficiently operated and tested in accordance with safe working practices
• Clearing blockages and spillages
• Disposing of waste materials in a safe and hygienic manner
• Painting, decorating, plaster repairs, joinery, plumbing
• Keeping the grounds tidy
