Acorn is recruiting on behalf of our client for a driven and dynamic Field Sales Representative to join their expanding team.

You will have experience of building relationships up with new prospects and nurturing client accounts. You will be responsible for targeting new business leads, converting any potential new business opportunities and managing your client accounts going forward.

The role:

* Conduct new business telephone canvassing sessions every week in order to generate business growth.
* Carry out marketing in designated geographical area via cold calling (telephone / door to door canvassing) or mail shots to generate new leads within existing customer base and new business opportunities.
* Arrange and carry out closing appointments with customers to gain the acceptance of proposals and achieve a signed order, or to gain approval of proposals and a mutually agreed method of progression to achieve a signed order.
* Provide all customers with full account information, M.I. Reports, etc. where required and discuss all additional opportunities for the business.
* Update Diary Information, Telephone Canvass Records, databases, Expense Claims, Receipts, Mileage Records, Vehicle Inspection Reports, etc regularly.
* Ensure all Company and customer information is kept confidential in accordance with

Company guidelines:

* To comply with and achieve the Minimum Standards set by your Line Manager.
* Achieve targets including activity targets (demos, appointments, presentations, telephone canvassing, activity closure) and meet acceptable gross profit achievements.
* Conduct sales activities in compliance with legislation (e.g. Anti-competition law) and follow sound and fair business practices.
* Perform other such reasonable tasks and responsibilities which may from time to time be required.
* Work with Company bespoke IT Systems and technology based procedures.
* Responsible for accounts as allocated by Line Manager.
* Deal with all customers enquiries, questions, problems in a timely manner. Pass information or questions on to relevant departments as required and ensure information is communicated back to the customer as necessary.
* Visit all existing customers at least once every three months.

* Track record of innovating/problem solving within levels of responsibility.
* Able to build constructive and influential relationships with all contacts.
* Communicates clearly and respectfully both in writing and verbally.
* Full and Valid Driving Licence as applicable.
* IT Literate. Microsoft office Suite.
* Previous Sales experience within a similar industry / environment.
* Excellent negotiation skills, organisational ability and time management skills.


* Paying a basic salary of £25,000 a year.
* Company car allowance or company car available.
* Commission structure.
* Excellent staff incentives including meals, nights out, holidays etc.
* Monday - Friday working hours.
