SCHOOL NURSE - EXETER
16 hours pw; term-time only (38 weeks per year)
Actual salary = £7,318.95 based on a full time equivalent of £19,838.00 (RSD 50)

With a proposed rebuild of their current site these are exciting times at the Academy as they look to drive forward their work in deaf education.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
·Meeting the daily health needs of the Academy's students.
·Ensuring all staff are trained in medical procedures as required.
·Working alongside the Educational Audiologist in developing an innovative and responsive Audiology department.
·Creating an environment that promotes healthy living as well as responding to the needs of individual children.
·Accurately diagnosing and treating a student's presenting condition, through own knowledge or by using outside medical experts.
·Raising awareness of issues that can have a negative effect on student health.
·A registered general nursing qualification.
·Nursing and Midwifery council registration.
·A willingness to work towards BSL 3 qualification.
·An understanding of the health and emotional needs of children and young adults.
·Experience of working in a medical, care or welfare environment.
·Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information.
