Community Development Co-ordinator - Job-Share 

About the role: 

You will work closely with the neighbourhood management team to ensure customers have influence on services that are delivered in their local community & to target community initiatives in areas of need which contribute towards the objective of maintaining sustainable communities where people want to live and work. 

Key duties: 

- Create and develop internal & external partnership working opportunities 
- Successfully deliver various community initiatives in the neighbourhoods in which you work, which benefit Great Places tenants & residents & the wider community 
- Work with the central customer involvement team to ensure involvement initiatives are promoted and delivered in the communities in which you work 
- Act as the main link between customer involvement and local teams 

Essential skills: 

- Experience in a housing management, neighbourhood management, community development or related field 
- Experience of delivering a customer focussed service 
- Experience of developing and delivering community initiatives, partnership working and organising events 
- Knowledge of community development and community capacity building practice 
- Confident communication skills (written, verbal and at all levels) 
- IT literate and proficient in use of MS Office 
- Basic research skills, with the ability to collate and analyse statistics and compile reports 
- Educated to A level standard or equivalent 
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to influence, motivate and negotiate 
- Ability and willingness to work occasional unsociable hours 
- Full driving license and use of a car for work 

Desirable skills: 

- Experience of working within culturally diverse and / or disadvantaged neighbourhoods 
- Experience of managing a budget 
- Relevant professional qualification 

You may have experience of the following: Community Development Officer, Housing Management, Partnerships, Inclusion, Development Officer, Neighbourhood Management, Housing Association, Community Development Coordinator, etc. 

Salary: From GBP 24,316 per annum - pro-rata 
Job Type: Permanent 
Hours: 17.5 hours per week between the hours of 8am until 6pm 
Location: Blackpool, Lancashire
