Our client are a well established Contract Electronics Manufacturer, who provide a comprehensive range of PCB assemblies and SMT equipment. Due to expansion, they are now looking to appoint an entry level Surface Mount Technician to join their team based in Peterborough.

The role will be very demanding and challenging both from a mental and physical aspect. Concentration levels in this role are paramount, additionally the role will involve the successful candidate spending most of the day on their feet. Working to set KPI's, the role will require someone who is switched on and takes pride in delivering a high level of delivery and quality on a daily basis.

Key competencies;

Having an analytical mind is important as the role will be very process driven, systematic and computer based.

Having a background in electronic components / mechanical engineering would be advantageous but is not essential.

PC literacy is of the utmost importance, particularly Microsoft Excel as this is a key software tool used daily in the role.

You will have very strong communicative skills as you will be liaising with various departments.

You will be self motivated and driven to set high standards, as well as having a strong awareness of cleanliness and general H&S.

A high level of written and spoken English and Maths is vital.

The company currently has around 30 staff but they are looking to grow their head count and expand their premises in the near future.
