As an Assistant Accountant - Management Accounts based from the Farnham, Surrey office. You will be responsible for:

To efficiently and effectively deliver the UK's financial reporting and transaction processing requirements, in line with the Groups' financial objectives.

  • UK accounting: GL and Balance sheet control accounts - manage all aspects of both the controls, Input and reporting requirements particularly for intercompany accounts.
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly volume rebate calculations including payment of these.
  • Prepare, consolidate and submit vat returns.
  • Preparation of weekly figures and volume reports for distribution within the business.
  • Preparation of National Statistics forms for both stocks and monthly business returns.
  • Provide audit information while liaising with auditors as required for a clean audit.
  • Assist with month end reporting including variance analysis and reporting on key areas of the accounts.
  • Engagement with branch network and corporate support functions.

Profile

  • Some accounts experience is essential but it doesn't need to be extensive
  • Experience relevant to the above responsibilities is desirable but not essential
  • Computer literate with finance packages, with Microsoft NAVISION being an advantage but not essential
  • Strong level of knowledge with MS Excel.

Job Offer

Salary £22,000 - £23,000 depending on experience, Study Support Package, 23 days holiday, Parking onsite, hours 9.00-5.30, good progression opportunities
