About the Role - 12 month contract

The SLTA is responsible for delivery of effective Speech and Language Therapy services across multiple sites for adults residing in secure units who present learning disabilities and complex needs.

  • You will contribute to the high standards of person centred care provided within Sequence Care Group, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team as an autonomous individual.

  • You will assist with the implementation and evaluation of SLT treatment programmes and related tasks/duties which have been identified and delegated by the SLT and where appropriate qualified clinical services team.

  • You will complete SLT specific assessments under guidance of the SLT
  • You will plan and provide programmes of therapeutic activities within a framework recommended by the SLT.

About You

  • You will ideally be working as a Speech & Language Therapy Assistant or have experience of supporting individuals with learning disabilities or mental health.

  • You will have experience of working with challenging behaviours

  • You will be passionate about providing excellent support

  • You will be kind, compassionate, take responsibility for your own actions and be keen to acquire new knowledge

  • You will have relevant experience (within SLT, LD or secure settings) in a clinical area or be working to/have achieved NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care, Rehabilitation or a degree n the relevant discipline.
