Events Bar Operations Superviser
There are now new opportunities on our event teams for aspiring food and beverage industry professionals. Playing a pivotal role in the operational delivery process of our Combermere Abbey contract. You will become part of the core operational team working closely under the direction of the project management and planning team.
The position will involve managing a drinks service to guests at weddings on the Combermere Estate. Being on the bar team means you see both the production prep and the front line of an impeccable service. Our drinks delivery remains a key focus of the business and you will be driving this forward playing your part in training sessions of both full time and temporary event teams as required. Our business is 24/7 and hands-on, as an experienced hospitality professional you will be well aware and prepared for anti-social hours, physical activity and long shifts working away on event sites. You will be working in often high pressure situations with tight deadlines and need to be capable of taking on additional responsibilities to the needs of the business.
? Leading a front of house service team, preparing and delivering drinks to a high standard ? Driving company vehicles to and from event site (approx. 1.5 - 2 hours) with team, stock and equipment as necessary. ? Leading the core event back of house operation, Inc stock and cash management ? Maintaining clean, tidy and efficient work areas at all times ? Maintaining good levels of communication throughout the event both internally (project manager / company directors) and client facing where appropriate ? Monitoring general conduct and reporting any issues to the relevant managers and company directors ? Driving company vehicles ? Document and assist in social media and general brand on site awareness ? Upholding the high quality and safety standards expected of the clients brand ? Working alongside the project management team with procurement / orders for stock, equipment and vehicles as required via suppliers or internal inventory ? Rotas / recruitment and overnight accommodation booking assistance where appropriate ? Assisting in loading and unloading vehicles, adhering to H&S guidelines and good working practices ? Ensure that daily/weekly communications and tasks that are assigned by Operations Director and/or Senior Project Manager are followed up and implemented. ? Driving company vehicles ? Friendly, approachable and outgoing with a positive attitude and creative bar operational experience ? A background in a busy hospitality setting ? Ability to manage time efficiently ? Willing and able to follow direction from peers and management team ? Full, clean driving licence with access to own vehicle ? Personal License Holder ? At least 2yrs bar experience in a supervisory or upwards position. ? Experience in Stocks Management and GP targets
