-SEN Teaching Assistant required
-Bristol SEN School
-Full-Time role, permanent role

This established SEN school has a permanent opening for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their established staff team. This full-time role would suit an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant though applications from Psychology or Speech and Language Graduates looking to further develop their knowledge and experience of working with SEN are also encouraged.

My client is an established SEN provision based in Bristol and catering for around 150 pupils aged 4-19. The school strives to provide children and young people with an education that prepares them for a successful transition to a fulfilling and rewarding life as part of their community. In recent years the school has become increasingly specialist, now catering for pupils who are amongst the most vulnerable in society and for whom increasingly bespoke provision is required.

This role requires an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or a resolute graduate with a good theoretical knowledge of SEN combined with bags of energy and enthusiasm. The successful candidate may have already held a paid or volunteer role supporting SEN children and this experience would be advantageous. You will need excellent interpersonal skills and a calm approach that will allow you to become an excellent role model for students. Your portfolio will include a genuine desire to understand special educational needs and how teaching impacts on learning.
