Sales and Revenue Manager

Based in Leicester our client is a well-established property looking for a Sales and Revenue Manager to join their team.

This job would suit someone with a solid background working within a single property. The job will involve managing and leading the sales, reservations and marketing teams to maximise the revenue coming into the property.

The successful individual will have good presentation and customer service skills, be computer literate and to possess sound knowledge of Opera, Word and Excel. Need to be confident working with rates and be aware of rate negotiation parameters

Duties will include:

  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Build relationships and rapport with booking agents, corporate and individual clients
  • Actively and successfully manage the sales process from lead generation to close
  • Build up a portfolio of accounts which are contacted on a regular basis as set out in the departmental standards and submit monthly reports.
  • Actively seek all sales and revenue opportunities both internal and external to increase the profile of the Hotel and Theatre.
  • Monitor and report on sales activities and provide relevant management information
  • Produce a weekly revenue report, monthly competitor rate report and Identify and analyse competition.
  • Ensure that billing and credit agreements are managed and controlled.
  • Maintain the highest standards of courtesy, efficiency and appearance to both guests and colleagues.
  • Optimise and expand distribution partnerships
  • To ensure that the hotel has an agreed rate strategy in place and this is communicated as necessary
