Role Profile

Assist Resourcing UK Ltd have been appointed to recruit a Business Development Manager for a market leading business within their sector. Working within an established senior team and client base you will be a self-starter who is able to work on their own initiative and have the confidence and experience to develop and imbed a commercial offering.

Reporting directly to the Business Development Director, you will play a pivotal role in the on-going development and management of existing contracts and the expansion and growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

New Business Development:

- Prospect for potential new clients and work to secure new business in line with the Company growth plan.
- Identify potential clients and decision makers, building working relationships of trust and confidence.
- Promote and represent the Company brand and its values to differentiate the Company and its services from our competitors.
- Present to potential new clients, whilst working with the wider team and other areas of the business to develop proposals that meet the client's needs and objectives.
- Produce written customer proposals.

Client Retention:

Attend meetings and work with existing clients as required to ensure that good business relationships are maintained.
Present new options and tender for additional services to enhance existing contracts and add to the continued growth of the Company.
Arrange and participate in internal and external client meetings.

Business Development Planning

- Attend industry associated events and conferences to obtain information on the market and creative trends.
- Work closely with the Senior Management Teams to consult and explore the development of new business services.
- Identify opportunities for campaigns and services to present to new and existing clients.
- Use knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop the Company's unique selling propositions and differentiators.

Management & Research

- Understand the Company's goal and purpose to enable continual enhancement of the Company's performance.
- Research and develop a thorough understanding of the Company, it's services, it's people and capabilities.
- Produce reports and documentation to present to the Board, Senior Management Teams and the Companies clients.
- Work with the Operations Directors and Senior Management Teams to ensure that all client requirements are met and to support with the provision of
- Work with various areas of the business to forecast and budget to ensure accurate commercial submissions.
- Monitor and identify developments and opportunities within the industry to allow the Company to refine and hone propositions.

Person Profile

- Previous experience of working in a Business Development role within significant experience in the Third Party Logistics sector.
- Experienced in dealing with Senior Management, key stakeholders and client's up to and including Board level
- Experienced in the writing of proposals and tender documents working to competitive deadlines
- A highly confident and proactive individual able to represent the Company and client
- Capable of working under pressure to critical deadlines and objectives
- Technically competent in Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
