We are currently recruiting for one of the fastest growing law firms in the country who have a growing office in Southampton. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful and progressive office which will continue to develop over time and offer some exciting opportunities. The role is a support role for the company’s Fee Earners but it is far more than just a standard Legal Secretarial position as you will undertake a wide variety of duties and assist in the overall day to day running of the office.

The Role

As this is a new role so you will have the opportunity to the shape some of the duties around yourself as you develop within the business, however some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing letters, documents, and spreadsheets in line with company policies

  • Managing diaries and organising meetings / travel arrangements for fee earners

  • Finance and Risk Management - assisting with managing accounts

  • File maintenance ensuring that the company remains compliant

  • Act as a point of contact for all activities relating to the Southampton office

The Ideal Candidate

You will need to come from a legal background, ideally commercial law although this is not essential. The right candidate will be excited about being part of something new and be happy to work autonomously and as part of a small team. You will need strong IT skills to do the traditional side of the role but it is also important to possess fantastic people skills as you will be involved in client meetings and interactions. You might be a legal graduate with 1+ years experience in a Legal Secretary, Legal Support/Admin role.
