As a result of sustained growth and the recent award of a number of new contracts, we require a working Supervisor to join our buoyant and progressive construction site cleaning company. Established 15 years ago, we have forged enviable relationships with a number of the UK's largest house builders and continue to attract enquiries and new contracts based solely on our reputation. This position is absolutely crucial to our expansion plans and we envisage the successful candidate will eventually progress to a management role.
As a working supervisor, your duties will be to supervise, lead and motivate your own new team of cleaning operatives during the completion of new-build property cleans at a number of building sites. You will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed to the required standard and in accordance with the required procedures, practices and Health & Safety regulations. All work is subject to detailed risk assessments, safe systems of work and appropriate use of equipment and cleaning products.
Although someone with previous experience in this type of role would be ideal, we are happy to invest time and resources to train the right person. As a minimum, we would expect you to have had at least 1 year’s supervisory experience or be able to display the potential to man-manage staff in a demanding working environment. You must have the ability to represent our company in a professional manner and ensure that, by using your leadership skills, your team of cleaners do the same. You will be required to build positive relationships with our customers and be able to effectively resolve their queries on a day to day basis. Part of your role will be to deal directly with site managers and their staff so proven communication and interpersonal skills are vital. You will also be required to send daily written reports to the Company Directors via e-mail or fax.
As part of our commitment to offering our customers the best possible service and in order to comply with industry standards, you will be required to complete relevant industry accredited training courses.
Given the location of our current and pipeline business, you will ideally be located within a 30 minute drive of Milton Keynes / Luton / Bedford. A full driving licence is essential as a company vehicle will be provided.
As we anticipate that you will be involved in the recruitment process of the new cleaning operatives, this exciting role is an opportunity for the right person to build and nurture their own team of cleaners from scratch. Full and detailed on-site training will be given to ensure that you and your team are able to successfully deliver an exceptional service to our customers.
Starting salary : £19,890 per annum (dependant on experience) plus mobile phone.
Normal working hours are 07:30 - 16:30 (Monday - Friday) although, due to the demands of our customers, you must be able to offer the ability to work flexible hours.
