This multiple award winning & cutting edge Entertainment Group is an employer of choice and a modern day success story achieving sustained and rapid growth across its multiple territories and divisions. They now require a Senior Financial Reporting Manager (IFRS) to join their central UK group finance team and acting as in-house expert on IFRS and technical accounting matters providing ad hoc advice across the business on a project basis.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Providing key technical accounting support to the CFO, Divisional CFOs and business unit FDs on audit/accounting issues, including production of accounting papers required for the audit committee and auditors;
  • providing advice and guidance to the CFO, Divisional CFOs and the Mergers & Acquisitions team on accounting for potential acquisition (due diligence, completion accounts, acquisition accounting etc) and assessing the impact on the Group's financial statements;
  • manage and draft the purchase price allocation, goodwill calculation and related accounting in line with IFRS 3R;
  • obtain timely input from the auditors in respect of key judgements and accounting conclusions;
  • oversight of Group/head-office companies, in particular for internal re-organisations.
  • Providing significant support for the preparation of the Group's Annual Report, including preparation of the consolidated financial statement;
  • responsibility for production of the Group's annual and half yearly financial statements and agreement of these with the external auditors;
  • review of Group's local statutory accounts for compliance and completeness;
  • implementation and monitoring of Group accounting policies and providing ongoing technical analysis and recommendations as issues arise;
  • monitoring impact of regulatory developments and issuance of new Standards (e.g. IFRS 15);
  • lead a project to implementation the new IFRS 15 standard to the Group;
  • update and maintain Group Finance Manual.
  • accounting for share-based payments and calculation of IFRS 2 charge; Acquisitions and goodwill as well as the Group's financial derivatives (including cash flow hedge and net investment hedge accounting) and foreign exchange;
  • managing transaction foreign exchange risk across the Group, including responsibility, together with the head of treasury, for the Group's monthly hedging process;
  • Manage a team of 2 Group Accountant.
  • Ad-hoc project & analysis work as directed by senior management team

Required skills & experience:
  • ACA Qualified (ideally at Senior Manager level in a big 6 firm)
  • Exceptional understanding of IFRS with good working of IFRS 15 ;
  • Previous experience of listed company international consolidation and reporting;
  • Some exposure to and understanding of restructuring, acquisition and financial hedging
  • Strong Excel skills.
