Deputy Manager - Residential Children Home - South Yorkshire

Dove Resourcing is working in partnership with a growing specialist children’s services provider to recruit an experienced deputy manager for an established children’s home in Sheffield. The service works with young people whom exhibit emotional and behavioural difficulties, these young people are high risk and we are looking for someone with the resilience and skills to build relationships that can result in positive outcomes for their futures.

This organisation is child centric, this is at the heart of everything they do. Their services span across the Yorkshire & North West area and have plans to develop further children’s services in these areas, meaning progression opportunities not just within this home but also new services in the future.

This particular home is Sheffield based, it is essential that applicants are car drivers with access to their own vehicle.

As the Deputy Manager, your main duties will include;

  • A hands on approach with the recruitment of a staffing team.
  • Maintaining a leadership perspective and resolving any staff related concern.
  • Actively look to develop Staff team.
  • Ensuring the home runs in accordance with legislations and regulations.
  • Motivating the staff and instilling the highest quality of care into the culture of the team.
  • Accepting responsibility for monitoring placement plans and being at the forefront of implementations and development.

This position is for a Deputy Manager and it is essential that all applicants have a minimum of a Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People’s Workforce or equivalent.

You will have direct experience of working in a children’s home at a senior level and be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of children home regulations and Ofsted guidelines for residential childcare.

The company are prepared to offer;

  • £19,000 - £25,000 per annum (salary dependent on qualifications and experience with scope for salary progression)
  • Commitment to Continuing Professional Development
