Customer Service Sales Executive

Our clients’ vision is to be the "go to" company for Sales, Consultancy and Training. Basically they outsource their sales skills to companies who need to improve their sales and increase profit. They train, consult and supply their knowledge, experience and expertise across a wide range of sectors helping their clients to achieve a profitable and successful future. Due to exciting growth plans for the business they are now seeking a highly driven and motivated Inside Sales Executive to join their lively, dedicated and friendly team

The Role & Key Responsibilities

Reporting into the Sales Manager your main responsibilities will be:-

  • Making outbound sales calls on behalf of the company and their clients to promote their clients products and their services.
  • Booking appointments for Business Development Managers.
  • Sending follow-up sales emails to customers.
  • Pipeline follow-up - follow up calls on any potential leads.
  • Using Excel to make notes on calls.
  • Keeping all databases and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems updated with opportunity details.
  • Liaising with clients via telephone, regarding enquiries.
  • Taking and processing bookings for training courses.

Other Responsibilities

  • Taking inbound calls from potential customers.
  • Answering phone for colleagues and taking messages.
  • Undertaking internal training where required.
  • General administrative duties including routine photocopying, scanning, filing.
  • There may be the occasional opportunity to attend business events or visits to client premises, with another member or members of the sales team.
  • Occasionally covering tasks for colleagues as required, which could include, dealing with post, booking meeting rooms, social media, expenses, invoicing, customer service, dealing with e-commerce sales, managing staffing/holiday spreadsheets.

About you

Qualifications and Experience

  • Sales experience is essential.
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent including mathematics and English preferred.
  • IT GCSE desired but not essential.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Knowledge of working in various industry sectors desirable

Key Skills Required

  • Good, confident telephone manner, with clear speaking voice
  • Solid IT skills including typing, knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook beneficial
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • A team player and problem solver
  • Ability to easily build a relationship/rapport, professionalism
  • Adaptable to change, display initiative, results-driven
  • Willingness to assist others and open to learning new tasks
  • Ambition to progress with the company as it grows and commitment to the company
