Salary: c£25.000 - £28.000 Depending on experience

Our client is a busy recruitment business. They are in the market to recruit a Payroll Administrator for a permanent post. Please note you must have worked in a recruitment environment and using Tempest as a payroll software


Processing 1000 + time sheets per week via imports accurately and efficiently to ensure queries are kept to a minimum

Process timesheets onto the system

Investigate and resolve payroll queries

Process SMP (Statutory Maternity Pay), SSP (Statutory Sick Pay) and starter and leaver documents (including P45/P46)

Dealing with holiday calculations

Monthly and year end processing of payment to tax and NI contributions

Dealing with all aspects of auto enrolment and RTI (Real Time Information)

Ensure the company complies with all legal requirements relating to employment and pay

Process data to monitor compliance with the Working Time Directive

Ensure all aspects of Health and Safety policy and activity is implemented consistently across the Group

About you:

Experienced Payroll Administrator with a recruitment background

Experience of using Tempest payroll software essential

Expert with MS Office applications, especially Excel, Word and Outlook

Excellent accuracy and attention to detail

Strong numerical skills

Knowledge of payroll regulations and requirements

Excellent inter-personal and communication skills

Talent to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Ability to provide a high level of customer service, professionalism and courtesy to all clients and employees
