We are looking for a passionate and motivated Sous Chef to join the team here at this recently refurbished Country Hotel and Gastro Pub in the heart of the Cotswold's. We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills and a passion for cooking. This coupled with the ability to manage a team and a hands on approach to the kitchen is essential.
You will work alongside the Head Chef in order to help push the sales and maintain the already high standards that the company demands. You will have a financial understanding and be competent in ordering, stock takes and all aspects of Health & Safety. You will be able to work well under pressure, in a fast paced kitchen, offering fresh food in a relaxed Gastro Pub environment. The property has a handful of letting rooms and therefore an understanding of a country hotel is preferred.
The ideal candidate will have experience within a similar cooking environment and have good fresh food experience. The menu's change regularly and are over seen by the Executive Chef. Daily specials are in place and you are expected to have full input into this and assist with the development of the menus. A state of the art Pizza Oven was installed during the refurb and this is a focus point of the kitchen here!
