Graduate Finance Assistant
Who we are
Futurepump Ltd is a company on a mission to bring useful renewable energy products to the developing world. We manufacture a solar-powered irrigation pump, which helps small-scale farmers grow crops during dry seasons and increase their incomes.
We currently work in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda, and are growing a distribution network in many other countries. Our small head-office team is based in an idyllic market town in sunny Suffolk, right here in the UK.
What we need
Because we’re growing so fast, we’re looking for a graduate with a keen eye for detail to help our financial and business systems run smoothly. As well as being confident working with numbers, you will be good at problem solving, methodical and ready to take ownership of tasks and projects.
Joining a small management team, you’ll get experience in all aspects of international business and growing a company. We’ll also support you in obtaining a professional qualification if that’s what you want to do.
No previous accounting experience or training is required.
What you'll do
Working directly with the Finance Director, you will learn accounting and financial management, advanced Excel skills and how to create and analyse business reports.
Your primary responsibilities will be:
- Processing and maintaining financial information
- Analysis and reporting of management information
- Helping to design and implement business processes
Since we’re a busy start-up, there will be lots of opportunities to get involved in many other aspects of the business and operations, including the potential to travel to countries where we work.

The position is full time with standard office hours and is based in Bungay, Suffolk (20 miles south of Norwich).
