We are the UK’s nursing and midwifery regulator. We exist to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the public by setting standards for education, maintaining a register of nurses and midwives and investigating individuals whose fitness to practise is called into question.
You will be responsible for the efficient; timely and proportionate investigation of a personal caseload of investigations to enable the NMC to fulfil its statutory obligation to protect the public.
You will assess and process individual cases in accordance with statutory processes and standard operating procedures using the NMC’s Case Management System (CMS). You will ensure that cases are managed to quality standards and that you deliver high standards of customer care.
The ability to analyse evidence; understand detailed policies and procedural frameworks is essential, as is good IT literacy. Crucial to success in the role will be the ability to communicate clearly, effectively and tactfully with customers at all levels, both internally and externally. You must be able to deal with conflicting demands and prioritise the workload effectively.
