A Programme manager is required to manage a global Windows 10 rollout

Summary of the Job

The Programme Manager will lead complex and strategic programmes for our customers (external or internal) and all project management resource within a key business area. These programmes will typically encompass IT systems, infrastructure, ‘roll outs’, business process, application development and management, systems migration and service provision and involve accountability for significant levels of revenue, profit and growth and responsibility for the delivery of substantial business change and benefit to the customer.

Key Responsibilities

* To participate in sales campaigns, particularly leading the demonstration of our programme and project management credentials and capability to potential clients
* To define each element of the programme plan. To schedule and manage all programme activities, including the overall and detailed delivery schedules, programme milestones and dependencies, acceptance criteria, quality criteria, commercial arrangements and financial parameters and management of sub-contractors / partners
* To ensure all programme ‘stakeholders’ are identified and sufficiently informed and involved during all stages of the programme. To ensure each individual ‘stakeholder’ provides high levels of personal and public support to the programme
* To establish and agree robust acceptance criteria for each element of the programme, and its individual streams, which can be used to measure programme performance and ensures appropriate levels of customer ‘sign off’. To ensure high levels of programme, commercial and contractual governance
* To manage programme performance against the agreed plan and initiate ‘remedial’ action (or escalation), when required
* To ensure the programme is managed in accordance with the chosen project management methodology, with regard to planning, control, reporting, documentation, quality, risk analysis and management and change control
* To prepare and control the programme budget and deliver against financial targets set. To accurately forecast financial performance
* To ensure appropriate and timely programme reporting and escalation
* To ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction throughout the programme life cycle. To actively manage client engagements and to develop strong / lasting senior level relationships capable of generating business benefit
* To lead, manage, coach and mentor all human resources assigned to the programme to ensure high levels of performance and to develop ‘new talent’ within the Company for future programmes and projects. To generate a positive team spirit within own or ‘virtual’ team to ensure programme success. To assist coaching and mentoring the wider project and programme management community
* To set and agree objectives for project teams to ensure achievement of results and focus and motivation of staff. To monitor performance against targets on a regular basis; taking remedial action as necessary
* To complete ad hoc duties and tasks allocated through line management chain from time to time
