Part Time - Event Co-ordinator/Supervisor

Anise Catering is an event and catering company, doing well in its 12th year. With a move to new much larger premises we are growing fast and need to add to the expanding team with this position. Catering at a number of venues in and around the South East including Hedsor House, National Trust Properties and Wedding Barns on a regular basis Anise is growing fast. We have provided catering services to a number of large contracts at some really big events like Farnborough and Paris Air Shows, the Edenbridge and Oxted show, hundreds of private and corporate functions.

Job Role

We are looking for someone with great communication skills, a positive attitude, an aptitude for problem-solving and a good sense of humour. If you think you’re the person for us then we would love to hear from you!

The preferred candidate will live locally and have previous experience in working for an event catering company or within the event industry. We are looking for someone part time to cover and assist with events. Working during the week with help to set up events and help run sporadic weekend events.

We are looking for someone with experience in working in events.

You will be in and out of the office a lot (it is not your average desk-job), so a driver’s license and your own car is essential. The hours are dictated by the projects we have on and will vary. Some jobs require you to come in early, or stay late, and you will regularly be working evenings and weekends. We really need you to be flexible and willing, however you will be given time off in lieu.

The ideal candidate will live locally and currently or have previously working for an event catering company with a minimum of a years’ experience.

Advantageous but not essential qualifications: Events and Hospitality degree, level 2 Food hygiene certificate, Health and Safety, first aid, Personal Licence.

  • Friendly and confident with clients.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • Ability to think quickly, use initiative and problem solve.
  • Can-do attitude and willingness to learn new things
  • Driving licence.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Salary

£18,000 to £22,000 - Plus commission (dependant on experience) PRO RATA
