We’re currently working with a fantastic business who design and manufacture modern and quirky office furniture for businesses across the globe. From tables and stools to futuristic office pods, their designs are very bespoke and unique and tailored towards individual clients’ needs. Having rebranded in 2002, they have over 400 staff and a turnover of almost £58m. They’re a family run business with great values who train, invest in and look after of their employees and this clearly shows across the business. They really are a great bunch who have a team and together approach!

As part of their continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Field Account Manager to manage distributors across Hull, Halifax, York, Leeds, Sheffield and Lincoln. They’ve built really strong relationships with these distributors so it’s important for them to bring in the right person to continue to build on the success of each, increasing the sales of products and achieving/exceeding growth targets. Although the role is 85% account management, you will also look for new business opportunities across your patch to build on your client base of distributors.

The Role
• Manage and develop an existing client base
• Maintain and increase sales of product and achieve the targets identified for the region via new and existing customers
• Identify and develop leads for new business by increasing business opportunities   via telephone and face to face meetings
• Proactively manage your accounts by providing product information and literature.
• Provide clear and accurate quotations using Pcon.

The Person
• Confident, outgoing and friendly (essential for this team!)
• Previous business to business sales experience is essential
• Target driven, with a proven ability to achieve results
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients and other members of the sales team
• Strong time management skills and self-disciplined
• A proactive approach with the ability to work on own initiative
• A strong attention to detail

It’s not essential to have experience in this particular sector as extensive ongoing training is provided. However, a creative flair would be a great starting point! If you’ve got great business to business sales experience and are currently office based and looking to get out into the field, we’d also like to hear from you! The role is home and field based although you’ll have full use of the regional showroom on your patch. The basic salary is up to £30k with an OTE of £8-£10k. You’ll be provided with a company car or car allowance (your choice!) and you’ll receive 28 days holiday increasing to 33 days after 12 months service (inclusive of bank holidays).
