This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join a large, long standing Building & Property Services Business based in Stockton-on-Tees. A family run business holding long established contracts with local authorities with a proven track record in delivering high quality results and customer satisfaction.

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for supervising operations on site, ensuring projects are completed safely and KPI’s are met within budget whilst adding value to the company and contributing to the continued success of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a team to organise the labour force to deliver across all projects
  • Dealing with day to day operational cases as they arise

  • Drive the business planning process to deliver against financial budgets

  • Be responsible for ensuring your projects are delivered against budget

  • Inspecting projects independently or in conjunction with our client inspectors

  • Monitoring works to projects, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards

  • Provide reliable, accurate and timely updates to operational team and Managing Director

  • Ensure the company complies with all statutory, legal and contractual obligations

  • Ensure Health and Safety compliance and accountability

  • Ensure site specific construction phase plans are in place, including all contractors risk assessments and method statements, prior to work commencing

  • Implementing and planning of both external and internal programmes

  • Ensure highest standard of work is delivered and maintained throughout programme and all targets and KPIs are achieved

  • Ensure client, contractors and employees are updated regularly with meetings and Tool Box Talks

  • Ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction is achieved by regularlyvisiting projects during works

  • Ensure procurement of suitable staff

  • Maintain site records accurately including staff time sheets

  • Co-ordinate operatives, sub-contractors and suppliers

  • Ensure project risks are identified and managed

  • Procurement of materials against projects

Skills Required:

  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy

  • Highly organised and able to meet deadlines

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, being resilient and calm under pressure

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Strong administration/organisational skills

  • Accomplished IT skills - ability to use Microsoft Office essential

  • Ability to engage with all areas of the business

Qualifications Required (as a minimum):

  • SMTS

  • Site Manager CSCS card

Qualifications Desirable:


A minimum of 3 years’ experience within the building/construction environment and direct experience in similar roles is vital
