1. To provide contract management expertise and to assist in development of sound commercial processes that meet corporate/business areas goals and metrics.
2. To use contract and finance structures in compliance with business objectives.
3. To use appropriate contractual templates and service levels for third party suppliers and where necessary be capable of drafting contract documents.
4. Establish effective stakeholder management both internally and externally.
5. Interact with senior management and present complex data in a simple way.
6. Manage performance and financial statistics for both organisation and sub-contractors and investigate all opportunities to control and drive down costs, whilst pursing continual improvements in performance.

Key Area 1: Contract Management

1. To manage the setup of commercial systems and documentation for new managed service contracts from the point of tender award to go-live.
2. Undertake all aspects of contract evaluation and governance including review, validation and sign-off of annual renewals.
3. To liaise with your manager in the construction and implementation of appropriate contract documentation to support proposals made by Sales or Commercial Services to customers on behalf of the organisation.
4. To provide risk assessment and risk limitation strategies to both Sales and Commercial Services and to line management for key contracts and customer activity.
5. To monitor sub-contractor contract compliance to detailed Key Performance Indicators and to take appropriate actions as agreed with line management, Sales and Commercial Services.
1. To manage contract issues and adverse financial trends escalated from the Managed Services administration team, investigate variance and provide solutions for closing gaps to the satisfaction of all parties.
2. To ensure the timely presentation of spend analysis and contract performance monitoring reports.
3. To create, maintain and derive value from a contract database that, as a minimum, highlights key financial commitments, contacts, relevant dates and trends.
4. Utilise effective contract management tools (change control) and then ensure change processes are produced and where appropriate internal staff are trained.


Key Area 2: Business Management


1. To highlight and escalate any identified deviations from agreed commercial policies and guidelines.

2. Create detailed financial information and documentation for the setup of new managed service contracts and accurately interpret customer and third party data so that the business is not at financial, commercial, contractual or reputational risk.


Key Area 3: Contract Drafting


• To be capable of drafting standard contract documents such as non-disclosure agreements, change control documents, framework schedules, etc as and when required.
• To be capable of negotiating with third parties and customers on any contractual document to get to an agreed position that meets the commercial, compliance and business needs of organisation

• Oracle Business Intelligence reporting

• Tender Eyes and other Microsoft sharepoint collaboration tools
