The Power Train Manufacturing Engineering (PTME) department are responsible for the development and introduction of new and modified processes and facilities, which are associated with new model introductions and model year changes within Assembly and Test.
The team is developing to support future electrification developments in support of the new range of vehicles. You'll be responsible for developing our new, technologically advanced EV propulsion assembly facility that is currently under design.
You'll be a key part of the Assembly and Test leadership team, working closely with Product Development Engineers, Facility vendors and Tooling Suppliers to ensure that component and whole engine designs meet world class quality and efficiency standards.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
As Senior Process Engineer, you'll have an awareness of Process Authoring Tool (GSPAS) as well as simulation and virtual toolsets. The overall responsibility of this role is to lead a team of engineers responsible for the planning and implementation of new and major changes to Electric Drive Units (EDUs) and Battery Pack manufacturing assembly and test facilities.
You'll have knowledge and experience of in-process test equipment, Dyno facilities, hot run cells, and cold testing as well as the ability to analyse and interpret performance data output from these facilities.
You'll utilise your knowledge to develop and implement assembly and test processes and facilities to deliver the safety, quality delivery and cost objectives. Leadership qualities and the ability to direct a small team will be essential, along with previous experience of facility installation, commissioning and product launches.
