Legal Secretary - Private Client/Probate
We are an established firm of solicitors based in Dorking who are looking to recruit a full time legal secretary to provide administrative and secretarial support to the probate and private client department as well as all other departments across the firm. Supporting one fee earner predominantly, this role has come about due to internal progression and growth.
We are a firm of specialist solicitors covering the South East and London and we work with FTSE companies as well as smaller private companies. We employ over 100 people across our offices and our firm is accredited by Lexcel. We also support and promote further studying and progression.
This is a great opportunity to broaden and expand your knowledge of Probate, Private Client as well as other areas of law. Applicants will ideally have some experience gained in working for a legal firm and the ability to audio type. We are open at looking at applicants with limited experience who hold a relevant qualification and have a desire to work in Law.
Responsibilities of the Legal Secretary;
Audio and copy typing, diary management, preparation and submission of searches, dealing with telephone calls and those visiting the office, updating case management systems and documentation production, co-ordination of appointments and diary management.
The post will also require some menial tasks such as preparation of meeting rooms before and after meetings, proving refreshments and preparing post for despatch.
Candidates from secretarial, probate, legal and law backgrounds will be suitable.
Graduates with very little experience as well as experienced legal secretaries are encouraged to apply.
