Reporting Manager (12 month fixed term contract)

About the role

The Reporting Manager, initially on a 12 month fixed term contract, will be an integral part of the Group Management Accounts & Reporting team and report to the Head of Group Management Reporting.

The role will be involved in the monthly reporting cycle as well as annual business planning will assist with the preparation of internal financial reports, Board of Directors materials, monthly financial analysis materials, and provide ad hoc analysis, projects and process improvements for the organisation. The person needs to be a qualified accountant with excellent analysis skills and an ability to understand the underlying issues. Similarly this person needs to be confident dealing with all stakeholders including senior management, non-finance colleagues, a great communicator and be able to prioritise effectively and use their initiative

What you will do:

  • Help lead and execute month-end, Interim and year-end P&L close which includes cash flow forecast for companies of responsibility

  • Monthly balance sheet review and challenge of balances and movements

  • Drive the business planning process to set the budget for the next financial year

  • Continually develop processes and improvements and ensure adequate controls are in place

  • Ownership of monthly reporting, reviewing month end preparation and completing post month end analysis

  • Produce and manage Axiom reports

  • Work with business operations, and other key stakeholders to generate requested reporting output

  • Help drive key insights and analytics

  • Execute value-added analysis and provide decision support for special projects and initiatives

  • Execute continuous process improvement

  • Assist in developing finance and business presentations; related supporting materials

  • Support the external audit and group tax queries

Your experience will include:

  • ACCA, ACA, CIMA qualified

  • Solid experience in a corporate accounting or finance role, preferable in a large company and complex environment

  • Demonstrated success in financial modelling and analysis, advanced Excel & report writing skills

  • Experience with financial planning and analysis functions, including annual budget, capital budgeting, long-term strategic planning and resource allocation processes
