A permanent bookkeeping job with an independent accountancy firm in Brierley Hill paying up to £20,000

You will be joining an Independent firm of accountants based in Brierley Hill, West Midlands. This firm is a 2 partner firm with around 10 members of staff. They have a great working environment as they have modern offices with an open plan style.

Your new role
You will be joining the firm in a bookkeeping role which will involve statutory accounts preparation for Limited Companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships, management accounts, VAT returns, corporate and personal tax computations, payroll (weekly and monthly) and processing clients purchase ledger transactions. You'll be responsible for raising payments, bank reconciliations, sales ledger and accruals and prepayments. The firm has a niche client portfolio and your role will predominately involve carrying out the bookkeeping and management accounts for a chain of restaurants. However, you will get involved with their other clients which cover a diverse range of sectors and their largest client has a turnover of around £7m. Your job will purely be based out of the office and will involve no travel to the client site but you will be speaking to clients over the phone to deal with any queries they might have. You'll predominately be working with Sage, Digita and Opera.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be extremely competent in all aspects of bookkeeping including statutory accounts, management accounts and tax. It is preferred that the majority of your experience will be in an accountancy firm but those candidates with industry experience will be considered if they are able to indicate transferable skills i.e. communication, organisation, client skills. You will be AAT qualified or have the sufficient number of years experience to be considered a 'Qualified by Experience' candidate.
