Service Care Solutions are looking for Senior Support Workers in the Cambridge Area. The vacancies are to work within one of the leading providers of integrated housing, care and support services who specialise in providing services for their customers, people with mental health issues and people with learning difficulties.

Job Description and Personal Specification :
Job purpose To provide care and support service to customers. To work flexibly to ensure individual needs are met while maximising independence, choice, dignity, privacy and well-being.

Main accountabilities:
Service Delivery
Work with customers to develop, review and update of care and support plans and risk assessments in line with policy.
Deliver care and support in line with care and support plans and risk assessments.
Encourage and support customers to establish and maintain positive relationships with their family and friends and engage in activities which help them to achieve their personal goals.
Provide support and practical assistance to customers around benefits, budgeting, paying bills and accessing appropriate services, including some housing management.
Provide social and emotional support to customers in line with policies & procedures and best practice.
Promote self-advocacy and act as the customers` advocate where appropriate.
Be aware of customers` wellbeing, safety and state of health, reporting any concerns.

These permanent vacancy are excellent opportunities to work within well-established Home and Community Support Services, providing floating support/accommodation based support to customers in and around the Cambridge area . It's office hours, Monday to Friday, with weekend working every 6 weeks (Mon/Tues taken off in lieu).

Essential criteria:

* Experience of providing a care and/or support service to people.
* Previous Mental Health/Learning Disabilities experience.
* NVQ Level 2 in related subject area or equivalent
* Awareness of the needs of all service users
* Ability to undertake moving and handling tasks
* Full UK driving license
