Important Internal Relationships - Head of Operations, Business Development Executive, Business Managers

Important Internal Relationships - Customers, 3rd Party suppliers

Our company is a fast growing, modern accountancy practice who are leading the way in making accountancy, bookkeeping and taxation digital.

We are looking for a driven and highly motivated individual to join our team.

Salary: £27,000 to £30,000 dependent on experience + potential target related annual bonus

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The New Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying and qualify new business opportunities and generating leads from our enquiry database. The role may also entail some cold calling and a tenacious approach to sales in addition to face to face meetings with end clients to identify potential sales. The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines is essential as is an excellent telephone manner. The job holder is required to carry out all tasks within his/her level of ability.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • To work through our database, identifying potential business opportunities across the business.

  • Delivering leads for all business streams by following a 'best in class’ approach to customer service and sales.

  • To achieve daily and weekly calls targets.

  • To ensure accurate records and files are updated.

  • To achieve agreed monthly sales targets.

  • To network with new and existing clients to identify opportunities.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Excellent telephone manner is a must.

  • Ability to convert enquiries into leads, strong sales acumen.

  • Highly motivated individual with a history of winning and converting leads.

  • Strong time management skills (including the ability to manage tasks concurrently).

  • Targets/ results driven, self-motivated and punctual.

  • Confident with face to face meetings.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are a must.

  • Highly proficient computer skills.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous sales experience working in a telesales environment would be preferable

  • Previous experience of field sales and face to face meetings with clients.

  • Knowledge of the accounting, payroll industry would be advantageous

PERSONAL AND TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES:

The New Business Development Executive will be expected to act as a part of the team supporting the sales function at all times. It is important that he/she is a "good model" for staff and that he/she projects a professional image at all times.
