Cooper Lomaz have been exclusively engaged to appoint a Management Accountant for an exciting and expanding SME in Norwich. As the organisation grows organically, the successful candidate will have the chance to make this new role their own, working across the business with sales and commercial teams to highlight opportunities for growth and development, whilst working with finance to improve controls and reporting.
Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will work as part of a small accounts team and will be responsible for producing month end Financial & Management Accounts with accompanying commentary and analysis. It is also expect that you will have the opportunity to support commercial reporting which will include performance analysis, business planning and Capex reports.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Production of month end Management & Financial Accounts for the Financial Controller
- Provide support to the FC with the budgeting and forecasting process
- Commercial reporting on business performance, margins and inventory control
- Review and improve Financial reporting processes and controls
- Business Partner with Sales and Commercial teams to increase Financial knowledge across the business
The successful candidate will ideally be a qualified accountant or recently qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with an inquisitive mind and an eagerness to learn. Your career to date will have given you a good grounding in management and financial accounts and you will now have a desire to use this knowledge to add value to a growing business. Strong Excel and communication skills are highly desirable given the interaction with the wider business and the need to elaborate on financial reports.
