Planner - Water / Construction - Durham - Staff
Our Client is a leading civil engineering and construction company mainly operating within the water industry and directly employing over 1000 people. We are a fast growing business with over 250 new people joining our team in 2016 and numbers for 2017 projected to increase further. We are a business who believes in investing in our employees with over £1m spent on training and development last year.
A significant and growing proportion of the businesses work, particularly in the water sector, is delivered through a fully-integrated design-and-construct venture.
We have opportunities for a Planner to join their Durham office. The role would suit well organised individuals with an understanding of the end to end process involved from tender design to construction.
We are looking for candidates with construction planning experience and it is preferable that you have clean/wastewater experience, however this is not essential. You must however have an understanding of general resources including materials, plant and labour.
You will need to have excellent communication skills as you will play a critical role in communicating technical issues to both site and office based employees. Whilst you will need to be self motivated with the ability to work off your own initiative, we are particularly looking for someone with the teamwork skills that are essential to this role.
If you are proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel and other Office packages and have extensive experience and knowledge of using Primavera PE3 v.6 this could be the role for you.
