To ensure the processing of supplier invoices, payments are completed efficiently and accurately, and ensure that partners and staff, and suppliers, have a helpful and constructive point of contact on supplier matters.

Our client is a well-known and growing business looking to add a Supplier Payments Supervisor to their existing Accountancy team based in Crawley.

Description

Our client is a well-known and growing business looking to add a Supplier Payments Supervisor to their existing Accountancy team based in Crawley.

Supervisory:

  • Supervise the day to day operations of the supplier payments team to ensure they have sufficient work.
  • Ensure the teams workload is adequately covered at all times.
  • Offer assistance and advice to the team to resolve issues relating to both suppliers and internal partners/staff queries.
  • Provide training to the team so they are able to perform their roles efficiently and accurately.
  • Complete formal annual appraisals for the supplier payments team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Review and approve invoice/credit note batches completed by the team.
  • Assist in logging invoices received and distributing for approval, ensuring these are appropriately authorised on timely basis for your specifically allocated suppliers, when necessary.
  • Assist in the processing of approved invoices to the ledger, when the need arises.
  • Complete supplier payments runs.
  • Dealing with telephone enquiries or written correspondence (via letter or email) from suppliers in an effectively and professional manner.

  • Understanding of double entry book-keeping.
  • Good and confident communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organised approach.
  • Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines.
  • Attention to detail - technical skills.
  • Initiative to proactively resolve issues.

Job Offer

£25,000 - £32,000 depending on experience
