Subject Leader in Physics, Chelmsford – September 2017

Reed Education Essex are currently working with a great school on an exciting new role in the Chelmsford area.

Starting from September 2017, the school are looking for an outstanding Subject leader in Physics to join them on a permanent basis.

The School:
• The latest school Ofsted was in 2014 and saw them graded as a Good school. Ofsted said our students are ‘polite, courteous and enjoy good relationships with each other and with teachers. Their attitudes to learning are very positive. Students come to lessons ready to learn’.
• The school also boasts a sixth form so they include students from years 7-13.
• The schools aim is: “Our key focus is ensuring excellent standards of teaching and student learning - we aim to provide quality education that promotes academic success as well as emotional and social development. Our team of experienced, passionate and dedicated teachers and support staff continually strive to ensure that our students make good progress and overcome any barriers to learning they may experience.”

The Role:
• You will be teaching and working with the Science department throughout KS3 – KS5 along with the GCSE and A Level curriculum.
• You will be working with students from years 7 through to year 13.
• You will be responsible for the teaching and learning of the students and the staff implementation of the science curriculum for physics.

What you will need:
• You will need to be a Qualified Teacher with QTS
• You will have experience teaching Science within a secondary school, along with working in a similar role within the science department.
• You will be a creative leader with the ability to differentiate well throughout your classes.
• You will be a committed teacher of Science with the enthusiasm to go with it.
