To develop and execute a category management approach to procurement activities in certain key spend areas. An in-depth analytical approach to understanding stakeholder requirements and the supply market is required in order to be able to feedback to stakeholders and ensure 'buy in'. To optimise the approach and outcome of supplier negotiations and manage supplier relationships.

Client Details

The client, a prestigious global market leading brand within the Automotive and Motorsport industries, is seeking to expand its 'Indirect Procurement' function with two further heads. The client takes a common sense approach to recruitment and will 'shuffle' the team to suit individual strengths. Ideally looking for an Assistant Buyer and a Buyer however will look at Senior Buyers with relevant experience from a competitor or within IT Software/licensing.

Description

To work with stakeholders and other members of the Indirect Procurement team and stakeholders, in order to:

Develop and implement a strategic category management approach to those areas of spend identified which will deliver cost reductions to target whilst retaining a best business case perspective to deliver stakeholder requirements. Identifying micro and macro market place and wider environmental risks and opportunities.

Negotiate, draft and review contracts with the Legal team to capture the essence of the agreement including commercial, quality, service requirements in a robust contractual set of terms and conditions.

The role holder is accountable for clear communication of the agreed strategies to the business and reporting a set of defined KPIs and market intelligence, uploading contracts correctly onto the database and raising purchase orders.
