Sheridan Maine Finance & Accountancy are supporting a large business in Segensworth with the recruitment of a Financial Accountant on a 9 month fixed term contract.

Our client is a multi award winning, international manufacturing business with a number of offices across Europe. This role is a 9 month fixed term contract but we expect that this role will convert to a permanent role after this period.

As a Financial Accountant, you will report to the Financial Reporting Manager.

Duties include:

- Work with stakeholders across EMEA regions ensuring subsidiaries are compliant to group accounting policies.
- Provide guidance and advice on technical and financial accounting matters to EMEA regions.
- Coordinate with the European Controllers to ensure consistent application of US GAAP in monthly financial reporting.
- Assist with the Regional implementation and maintenance of global and local internal controls.
- Monitor compliance with all internal controls and ensure remediation of any control deficiencies.
- Coordinate internal control related projects, reviews and investigations.

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

- Newly qualified/2 years PQE.
- Proven experience working in a similar role.
- Confident working in a controls environment.
- Understanding of US GAAP essential.
- Previous experience partnering with key stakeholders essential.

Please be aware, this role requires European travel monthly. You will be expected to travel to EMEA offices approximately 1 week per month (at most).
