We are looking for an Accounts Specialist to join our subscription team, this role will be responsible for the tracing, allocation and raising of payments/invoices, to meet and exceed our business obligations for the payments specifically focusing on the needs of our societies.

The role will be responsible for:
• Management of society spreadsheets and ensuring all system data is correct and up to date.
• Partnering with the finance team and our Informa Group shared service centre to ensure all payments/invoices are to a set schedule and our accounts receivable and general ledger accounts are cleared of any unallocated payments.
• Ensure all system updates are made as required meeting company expectations and SLA’s and customer data integrity.
• Manage weekly cash reports, AR and GL, set targets and prepare report.
• Set schedule of payment runs and work with relevant teams to meet these targets.
• Encourage improvements to process and service and provide team with a framework on how to get these improvements implemented.
• Take responsibility for annual Bulk payments, society invoicing and Journal Royalties payments.
• Ensure all tasks managed are clearly defined and training documentation our available and regularly updated.
The successful applicant will:
• Ideally have previous experience of working within a finance/credit control/accounts department
• Have the ability to follow workflows and process
• Be able work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Have good attention to details and able to troubleshoot and spot discrepancies
• Be computer literate and ideally have advanced Excel Skills.
• A good team player who partners well with stakeholders at all levels throughout the business
